Our contributors are talented communicators who are deeply knowledgable and passionate about wine. They each bring their own unique perspective, experience, insight and network to the conversation based on their varied backgrounds, areas of expertise and experience in the industry. They are united by their shared desire to seek out the new, to hear from the unheard and to contribute to creating an inclusive space for the most compelling stories rather than the largest marketing budgets.

    Lilla has a marketing background and specialises in wines from the Carpathian Region. With over 10 years of industry experience she has played a crucial role re-establishing quality Hungarian wines in the UK and was founder of Wines of Hungary UK. She works behind the scenes at JancisRobinson.com, serves as a wine judge and she is a Regional Ambassador for The Old Vine Conference. As a gifted writer Lilla collaborated with the late-great Steven Spurrier on the launch of the Académie du Vin Library and now freelances for Decanter.

    Scott Malyon is a wine educator and owner of Giggle Juice Consulting. He spent 4 years in the wine division of one of the biggest global drinks companies before moving to London to work for a wine importer for 11 years where he built their Training and Education facility and gained his WSET Diploma. A self-confessed renegade in wine and firm disruptor and voice against the status quo, Scott set up his educational consultancy service in November 2023.

    Karin is a wine educator and co-owner of Vine Lab Wine & Spirits Academy in Minnesota, USA, where she teaches WSET and WSG. She is a freelance translator/editor specialising in wine, helping wineries worldwide showcase their content in English. As a devotee of both wine and words, she helps students and colleagues with correct pronunciation of wine terms and encourages everyone to learn foreign languages. She will also talk your ear off about how important and exciting it is to drink wines made from native grapes. She splits her time between the US and Spain.

    Jenni’s love of wine stemmed from her passion for travel which has sparked a career change from the technology sector in financial services. After completing her MSc in Viticulture & Oenology, Jenni planted a micro-vineyard and is preparing for her first vintage in 2025. When not found in her vineyard, you can find her sharing her knowledge of wines in her tasting classes, writing articles or helping brands through promotional social media campaigns.

    Sophia Longhi is a wine writer and communicator. She has written articles for Harpers, The Buyer, Club Oenologique and Ocado Life magazine, as well as hosting wine tastings and masterclasses. Sophia communicates to over 13,000 followers on Instagram as @skinandpulp and is part of an all-women content creation collab called The Wine Collective (@thewinecollectiveuk). As a foursome, they create multi-faceted content and events for premium wine regions and brands. In 2022, Sophia won the inaugural IWSC Emerging Talent in Wine Communication Award. 

  • PAOLA TICH

    Paola Tich, is the owner and driving force behind Vindinista - a wine shop and early evening bar in Acton, West London. She worked for 12 years as a journalist in newspapers, TV and radio before switching to corporate PR and communications for global tech companies (and a big bank during the 2008 crisis). She started blogging about wine in 2011 while studying at WSET, before feeling a burning desire to get closer to consumers by opening a small, independent, neighbourhood shop in 2013 that has since been voted ‘Best London Neighbourhood Wine Shop’ by @Decanter magazine.

    Ellie Scott is an independent wine consultant who left a long-term career in finance to pursue her passions for wine and travel. She has studied with WSET Global and Wine Scholar Guild and in 2021 founded her wine consultancy, Amante Wine.

    Before Emma Hodges joined the wine industry in 2018, she worked for over 20 years with people with disabilities, helping them achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives. Emma has since combined her skills and experience in both special needs work and wine to make the wine world more accessible and inclusive for everyone. Born and Bred in the heart of Sussex, she is a mother of two children, a runner, and an run director for Horsham junior parkrun.

    Kathleen grew up in Montreal, Canada and is now based in Rhode Island, USA. A DipWSET certified professional ,Kathleen wears many hats: she is a journalist, wine judge, ambassador for the Concours Mondiale des Vins Féminalise and a blogger @thehappyvineks.

    Vidya Narasimhan is an independent wine consultant who after years of working in Banking advises Private Equity firms on investments in wine, hosts wine appreciation events for corporates and private groups, partners with supper clubs and judges wine competitions.  She has studied with the Wine Scholar Guild and WSET Global. Vidya lends her voice to Sustainability, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives in the wine industry.

    Maisie is 4 years into her wine career. She currently works as a freelance wine writer alongside her full-time role at a fine wine importer. She recently completed her WSET Diploma in wine and is passionate about championing women in the wine industry.

    Abbie is a freelance wine writer, educator and judge who has worked in the industry for over 12 years after leaving the BBC News at Ten to pursue her wine passions. She holds the WSET Diploma and is a certified WSET educator. She is also an accredited tutor for both the Bordeaux and Rioja wine regions. As well as running tasting events for amateurs and industry professionals, she also judges at wine and spirit competitions. Abbie is a regular contributor to drinks industry publications including Harpers Wine & Spirit, The Buyer and now RTWN!

  • PIERRE ANDERSON

    Pierre has been working in wine for over 7 years; as a Sommelier, within Operations for importers and distributors, in Fine Wine Investments, and most recently Sotheby's Auction House. He also publishes his diary of what it’s like to work in the wine trade on his Instagram page: @pierre.a.anderson. Recently he’s been accepted as an Associate Judge for the IWC and is firmly embedded in the tasting and events scene of the London wine community.

  • BELINDA STONE

    Belinda specialises in B2B wine marketing and communications and has worked in the wine trade for 23 years. She studied Business Studies with French at university, she holds the WSET diploma and is one of very few Chartered Marketers working in the wine industry. She has been driven to create RTWN to mix up the dormancy in the wine trade media space and create a new home for the trade’s B2B news and communication.
